Altered Book Sculpture by Beth Kattleman, aka B. Katt, of Waldport, Oregon.
 
Beth originally hails from New York State, where in her former career as a high school librarian, she fell in love with old books, obscure titles, and colorful magazines from the 1950's and '60's. She carefully hand cuts and assembles each sculpture and collage in her home studio, playing with concepts, cultural stereotypes, and puns. The result is an irreverent and delightful inquiry into the nature of that which we think we know, not to mention imaginary worlds not yet discovered.
