About the event

Many people find drawing to be a form of "active meditation" that can help you increase focus in the present moment, create a temporary distraction from stress and discomfort, foster a sense of relaxation, and build brain resiliency. 

In this workshop, we will sample several different kinds of meditative (and fun!) drawing techniques, including Zentangling, "slow drawing", scribble/squiggle drawing, contour drawing, and more. Suitable for absolute newbies to advanced artists. You'll even come to understand how "doodling" and exploring with media can help you build artistic skills! 

Workshop participants will be provided a set of materials to continue their meditative drawing journey on their own. 

Pre-registration is required for this event. Please allow at least a couple of hours advance registration prior to attending, so the instructor will know to prepare for you.
