"Process  painting", sometimes known as Intuitive Painting, is a style of expressive art that focuses on the experience of using color, form, composition, and the properties of  paint and mixed media to build layers on a surface. Art pieces are built using a connection to one's sensory experience, as well as one's natural senses of balance, flow, dynamic composition, and personal expression. Instructor will take the group through some brief exercises, and will be on hand to help guide you through your unique process, and provide technical support. 

Focusing on process,  rather than the finished piece, frees us up to play, explore and  experiment, without being afraid of "getting it wrong" or comparing  ourselves to others. Many folks also find this method of painting helps them feel more comfortable and relaxed in the present moment, energized and delighted. It might even help bring out your inner artist! 

During the evening, we will:

~ Gather  for social time & enjoy your choice of beverages, featuring curated  local and regional brands (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will  be available.)

~ Take time to learn about how process- focused painting works, and get into the "flow zone" for creating

~ Enjoy music and free painting time

~ Talk about our experience, share with one another, appreciate and enjoy!
