Learn the method to create a planner and journal that reflects your own unique style, and helps you stay organized and inspired every day, using affordable materials. In this workshop, you will learn how to take a simple lined Composition Book, and transform it into a system that meets your needs. Theme is based on the instructor's personal adaptation of the popular Bullet Journal format. Once you learn her process, you can adapt it to your personal tastes. 

We will be using mixed media collage techniques to build out pages with imagery, textures and to highlight significant moments (think scrapbooking with an agenda!) Some elements will include, but are not limited to: decorative washi tape, ribbons, decorative pens, sticker paper, a variety of decorative paper or fabric in a range of colors or designs to create a "key system", magazine or illustrations on paper, tags, photographs or other "ephemera". 

You will be provided a wealth of materials to work with during the class, including artists stickers, mini-prints and other items you can't find anywhere else. But feel free to also bring any special personal items that you'd like to include. Participants who are not purchasing the class materials will be provided a list of suggested items to bring. 

Your finished planner will include: An indexing system, yearly plan, "future pages", and your first  month's pages (calendar, dot journal etc. ), equal to about 15 - 20 pages. At the end of the workshop, there will be an option to sign up for a monthly group, so you can get support building additional pages all year long! 

About The Instructor: Kassy Keppol is an illustrator, teacher and artist living on the Oregon Coast. She's been creating from a young age, and has also spent time at Hollins University studying under some of the best children's book illustrators working today. She received a Master's Certification in Children's Book Illustration, plus a Masters of Fine Arts in Children's Book Writing and  illustration. Through her business in Florence, Dragon Art, she's helped youth and adults alike learn skills in sewing, wire arts, mixed media and more, while producing a variety of magical creations, as well as providing a line of art subscription boxes by mail during the Pandemic. Her latest children's book, "What Mommy Doesn't See", is currently on Kickstarter.
