About the event
COST: $26 per person. Pre-registration is required at least 24hrs in advance for this workshop.
INCLUDES: All materials and instruction.
The Ukranian method of Pysanky, or wax-resist egg dyeing, has been around for generations, and is a traditional gift given on special occasions, or created for a keepsake. Perfect for your Easter gatherings! In this workshop, we will use the technique as inspiration for our own designs.
Kassy Keppol, professional children's book illustrator & the brains behind Dragon Art Florence, will demonstrate the step-by-step process of layering wax-resist designs and dyes onto a hollow egg to create a unique and beautiful keepsake.
Once you register, you may plan to attend anytime between 2pm-5pm to work on your egg project. Make it a family night, or a memorable date night experience! Please plan for two hours of working and cleanup time for up to 3 finished eggs.
Suitable for adults, teens, and kids with parental/adult assistance. Experience with drawing, painting or crafting is helpful, but not necessary. SASS staff and instructor will be on hand to answer questions and provide help.
